The Bayview Hotel was built on the foundation of the historic summer cottage, Bournemouth. This newly designed and artfully renovated boutique property is surrounded by Acadia National Park and all the charms this extraordinary area has to offer. The hotel’s Modern Rusticator sensibility – an homage to 19th Century rusticators who worked tirelessly to create Acadia National Park – is woven into the design choices throughout, inviting the unique appeal of Maine’s natural beauty inside.
Each of the hotel’s 26 guest rooms are newly renovated and have a balcony or deck with commanding ocean views. They span over three levels and feature modern designer touches.
The Rusticator Lounge features original art by world-renowned Maine artists. The Bayview Hotel’s intimate lounge offers an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication with warm and attentive service and breathtaking ocean views. The menu offers imaginative vegetarian dishes, including the signature Rusticator Barcuterie – a presentation of locally sourced cheeses and vegetarian bites. Pairs perfectly with your favorite wine or cocktail from the full bar.
The Bayview Hotel is ideally located between the Acadia National Park Visitor Center and downtown Bar Harbor. Area activities include hiking, biking, kayaking, mountaineering, wildlife safaris, and much more.
