Kim is a real estate brokerage owner, investor and hospitality professional, plus so much more! At her agency, Swan Agency, she brokers luxury homes as well as the best lodging properties in Maine. At Swan Hospitality Group, she owns Bayview Hotel in Bar Harbor, Pomegranate Inn in Portland, as well as myriad investment and vacation rental properties.

Kim is a full time, year round resident of Bar Harbor, Maine dedicated to her community. Current community positions include Director of First National Bank, Board Member and Secretary of the Bar Harbor Village Improvement Society and MDI Pet Food Pantry. She also served 10 successful years as a Bar Harbor Town Councilor. Kim was awarded the prestigious Cadillac Award by the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, 50 Mainers Balancing Heritage and Progress and was a 2019 Maine Woman to Watch.

Kim is a passionate supporter of animal rights and welfare and works to promote eco friendly businesses with vegetarian food and beverage services and using sustainable products whenever possible.

Matt has been a familiar face and fixture for years at Bayview Hotel in Bar Harbor, even prior to the acquisition and redesign of the hotel by Swan Hospitality Group in 2018. In 2022 Matt was promoted to his current position and oversees the operations of the real estate portfolio of the entire company as well as working with the owner to identify potential new properties for SHG. You’ll still see Matt now and then around the Bayview. He loves a chance to chat with repeat guests as well as giving hints and recommendations to first time visitors.

The Property

The Bayview Hotel was built on the foundation of the historic summer cottage, Bournemouth. This newly designed and artfully renovated boutique property is surrounded by Acadia National Park and all the charms this extraordinary area has to offer. The hotel’s Modern Rusticator sensibility – an homage to 19th Century rusticators who worked tirelessly to create Acadia National Park – is woven into the design choices throughout, inviting the unique appeal of Maine’s natural beauty inside.

The Rooms

Each of the hotel’s 26 guest rooms are newly renovated and have a balcony or deck with commanding ocean views. They span over three levels and feature modern designer touches.

The Lounge

The Rusticator Lounge features original art by world-renowned Maine artists. The Bayview Hotel’s intimate lounge offers an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication with warm and attentive service and breathtaking ocean views. The menu offers imaginative vegetarian dishes, including the signature Rusticator Barcuterie – a presentation of locally sourced cheeses and vegetarian bites. Pairs perfectly with your favorite wine or cocktail from the full bar.
